A Master’s thesis was discussed at the Faculty of Medicine / University of Kufa. Shahad Mohammad Redha, the student from the department of Physiology tagged her thesis as (Electrophysiological findings of patients with carpal tunnel syndrome: correlation of clinical scoring with interleukin 6 and lipid profile changes). The study aimed to determine the relationship between the clinical severity of carpal tunnel syndrome patients with interleukin 6 (IL-6) levels and lipid levels in blood serum. The results showed that cholesterol levels and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels were higher in patients compared to healthy people, and there is a significant correlation between its levels and the degree of clinical severity of carpal tunnel syndrome, while there was no significant correlation between the level of interleukin 6 and the degree of clinical severity of carpal tunnel syndrome.
