A discussion of a doctoral dissertation took place at the Faculty of Medicine / University of Kufa. Abbas Raheem Ibraheem Al-Fatlawi, the student from the department of Pathology tagged his thesis as (Detection of some nucleotide polymorphism in Let.7 micro RNA in patients with colorectal cancer). The study aimed to detect the expression of Let.7 micro RNA gene in patients with colorectal cancer and to evaluate the development of colorectal cancer and chemo- resistance as a predictive indicator to develop a follow-up plan for patients after surgical treatment in order to overcome possible complications. The results concluded that the deletion mutation in the studied gene was closely associated with colorectal cancer, but the genotypes did not affect the characteristics of colorectal cancer.
