A discussion took place in the Faculty of Medicine / University of Kufa. Nabaa Abdul-Amir Mahdi , one of the students of Iraqi Council for Medical Specialization, in the specialty of dermatology and syphilis tagged her research as (nail arthroscopy in inflammatory nail disorders and its relationship to the duration of the disease: a descriptive cross-sectional study). The study, which was conducted over a period of 12 months (October 2021 to October 2022), aimed to highlight the main endoscopic features of inflammatory nail disease using a polarized hand-held dermatoscope and to correlate these findings with the duration of the disease. The study concluded that the nail speculum is a very useful tool and helps to avoid surgical interventions as well as to guide the treatment plan and predict the fate of various nail diseases.
