A doctoral thesis was discussed at the Faculty of Medicine / University of Kufa. Huda Jabber, the student from department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics tagged her thesis as (The Reno protective potential of C21 / thymoquinone during sepsis in male mice). The study aimed to evaluate the possible protective potential of C21 and thymoquinone on the kidneys through oxidative and inflammation factors associated with the activation of the C-21 pathway. The results showed that the mean levels of receptor) and the tissue level of F8-α IL-6 TNF-α, serum (TNF- isoprostone in addition to the mean serum levels of (urea and creatinine) and the mean scores of histological changes were significantly high, recording a statistical significance (p< 0.05) in the bacteriuria group compared to the Sham group, and its decrease in the bacteriological groups treated with drugs, the study also showed that the PI3K/AKT pathway was high in the treated groups and low in the untreated groups.
