A master thesis was discussed at the Faculty of Medicine / University of Kufa. Yusor Abdul Yema Hajim, the student from department of microbiology tagged her thesis as (Correlation between HHV6 and NF- kB in neuroinflammatory disease ). The study aimed to discover the relationship between nuclear factor-kappa and human HHV6 in patients with neuritis by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique to detect anti- HHV6 IgM, anti-HHV6 IgG and nuclear factor-kappa (NF-KB) in patient serum samples. The results showed that there was a statistically significant relationship between each of HHV6 IgM, HHV6 IgG and nuclear factor kappa, the percentages of factor kappa in the positive category for both IgG and IgM were significantly higher than the negative category for both IgM and IgG in patients with neuritis, Which indicates a clear indication that the presence of the virus in patients with neuritis exacerbated the disease and led immunologically to a significant increase in nuclear factor kappa NF-KB.
