A master’s thesis was discussed at the Faculty of Medicine / University of Kufa. Nebaa Basim Ali,the student from department of Pathology tagged her thesis as (Expressions of Estrogen receptors, smooth muscle actin and CD34 for lobular capillary hemangioma in Iraqi patients). The current study aims at a specific design to predict and ascertain the pathogenesis and nature of lobular capillary hemangioma as well as its hormonal sensitivity that affects the choice of treatment for this disease by detecting the immunohistochemical expression of estrogen receptor markers, smooth muscle actin and CD34. The results showed that when analyzing the data, only 14 (28%) cases were positive for the estrogen receptor marker, while 50 (100%) were positive for the other markers (smooth muscle actin and CD34).
