A master’s thesis was discussed at the Faculty of Medicine / University of Kufa, Rashid Mohsen Asadullah the student from department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics tagged his thesis as (Effect of tocilizumab on cerebral ischemia and reperfusion in male rats). The study aimed to investigate the possibility of tocilizumab to protect the nerves and improve the overall brain injury (IRI) in the rats under study. The results showed that the cerebral levels of hs-CRP IL-6,and Prostaglandin F2, significantly increased (p<0.001) in the control group when compared to the pretend group, Also, tocilizumab treatment showed a significant (p<0.001) effect on reducing inflammation. As for the histological results, tocilizumab caused a significant decrease (p<0.001) sharply.
