A master’s thesis was discussed at Faculty of Medicine /University of Kufa. Ahmed Hatif Al-Amin, the student from department of pathology tagged his thesis as (the predictive value of programmed cell death protein 1 and its relationship with other prognostic signs in laryngeal cancer). The study aimed to evaluate the predictive value and role of PDL1 in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma compared to other warning signs, as the results showed that positive PDL1 expression was recorded in about 20% of laryngeal squamous cell carcinomas and 10% in pre-cancerous cases, while it was negative in benign lesions of the larynx. . And in p53 protein we found that about (42.5%) is positive in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma, about (40%) is positive in precancerous laryngeal lesions and about (12%) is positive in benign laryngeal lesions. While KI67 protein (32.5%) found high expression in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma and about (40%) high expression in precancerous laryngeal lesions and about (20%) high expression in benign laryngeal lesions.
