Prof. Raid Mohammed Redha Umran, the Dean of Faculty of Medicine and the Assistant Prof. Habib Shuhayeb participated in a scientific symposium about the quality mother and child care. This symposium was held by Najaf Health Directorate. In his speech, Umran emphasized that the medical faculties in the province and in cooperation with Najaf Health Directorate, contributed to raising the quality of health services provided to the citizens of the province, he added “we are still striving constantly to develop and consolidate aspects of cooperation between medical faculties and health institutions in the province to serve the public interest”. For his part, Shuhayeb, the Director of Quality Unit at Middle Euphrates Hospital and the academic member at Faculty of Medicine in Kufa, praised the principles of quality and patient safety and he added that it must be taught to medical students and from the early stages to create a generation of doctors capable of providing medical service in accordance with international quality standards.
