The PhD student, Ali Abdul-Razzaq Noori, from the department of Pharmacology and therapeutics at the Faculty of Medicine / University of Kufa, vived his thesis that entitled [Association between Endothelial Nitric Oxide Synthase Gene Polymorphisms with Clopidogrel Resistance in Iraqi patients (Mid- Euphrates) with coronary artery disease undergoing elective percutaneous interventions]. The study has been conducted to determine the association between promoter T786C, exon 7 G894T and intron 4 (4a4b) VNTR polymorphisms of endothelial nitric oxide synthase gene, serum nitric oxide and platelet function test with clopidogrel resistance in Iraqi patients who live in(Mid- Euphrates) governorates. The results showed that clopidogrel resistance in Iraqi patients was 34.25% and it did not prove any relationship with all the multiple genetic forms[intron 4 (4a4b) G894T, T786C].
